Matthew A. Fuszard born in Bishops Stortford in 1969, he was educated at Queens College, Taunton, and went on to attain a BA in Jazz Studies from the City Of Leeds College of Music. After a brief time living in Ireland, he spent 7 years travelling and working for the cruise industry worldwide. A PADI Divemaster, he then returned to England where he attended the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton and graduated with a MSc. in Oceanography. He is now starting a PhD in Environmental Microbiology with the Biological and Environmental Systems Group within the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Sheffield. His thesis title is “Environmental Stress and Adaptation in a Globally Significant Photosynthetic Prokaryote: Prochlorococcus marinus MED4”.
