Dr. Stefano Vignudelli has been working on satellite remote sensing of the marine environment for a decade. The focus of his early work was on how radar altimeters could be used in synergy with other satellite and in-situ data in interdisciplinary studies dealing with oceanography, particularly in regional seas. Recently, his interests broadened to evaluate and possibly improve the quality and availability of altimeter-based information in support of coastal ocean studies.
